FARRAH DELIGHTED HER DAD HAS FOUND LOVE AGAIN
Former pin-up FARRAH FAWCETT has given her blessing to her father's new
marriage to a woman 31 years his junior - even though he wed just months
after the death of the actress' mum.
Fawcett did not attend dad JIM's 3 October (05) wedding ceremony, where he
exchanged vows with ROSENDA CARBAJAL, who, at 58, is the same age as the
former CHARLIE'S ANGELS star, sparking speculation that she wasn't happy
about the match.
But Fawcett insists she's happy she was able to live up to a promise she
made to her dying mum PAULINE, who passed away in March (05).
She says, "I am very happy for them. Before my mother died, she made me
promise to do everything that could be done to make sure my father was not
left alone after she was gone.
"This marriage is a gift. I've met Rosenda and she's lovely."

Statistically speaking, being black is harder than being white in this
country. That said, that cute black doctor who got the make-over on Oprah
is having a much easier time than a white kid in the homeless shelter. I
dislike being told my pain really wasn't that bad because it wasn't the pain
of being black.

Oh, trust me, growing up in the mane-obsessed Farrah Fawcett world taught me
that my hair was CLEARLY unacceptable in its natural state. You know what's
funny? Farrah's hair wasn't natural, either, come to think of it! We're
supposed to somehow look like someone who "naturally" looks good with hair

That framing is VERY important. Someone telling me that his friends thought
he was crazy to find me attractive just was not good framing.

Fine -- but don't insist that your world is harder than mine. In some ways,
yes it is. In others, maybe not. Suffering exists across cultures, races,
religions, economic groups. Rich white kids commit suicide, too, you knw.
Actually, until fairly recently, the black community in the US did NOT have
the problem with eating disorders that has raged through the white
community. That is one ugly problem, let me tell you. No, a white girl
isn't going to be pulled over for driving while black, but that doesn't mean
she doesn't face prejudice or feel pain that is just as real as a black
girl's.
> and family may think and go for what he wants.
Sure -- I understand you dating someone who FELT that way. However, someone
who SAID it, who made that the VERY FIRST THING he said to you, I would
avoid. It still seems to contain that threat of your not being good enough
for many people, so you had better just take what comes along. Ick.

Yeah -- I've heard that. As a white person, I just don't get that. The
truth is, to a racist white person -- black is black, and it doesn't matter
how light a black person is (unless they REALLY can pass, like Eartha Kitt's
daughter). To a white person who isn't a racist, the skin tone of a black
person doesn't matter. Light is no better than dark. It's sad that the
idea that light is better is continued by the very people it hurts. That
said, I've never dated a Jewish boy. The white, black, and Latino boys like
me better -- the Jewish boys seem to want the shiksas. Look at Howard
Stern. That kind of thing can be found in any community, I guess.

Well, my friend, I would pass the freaking comb test, goddam it. Sigh.
I've also heard it referred to as the pencil test. You know who hasn't heard
of it? My students, believe it or not. I once put a comb in my hair in
class to illustrate this test and the darn thing got caught in a snarl in my
hair and instead of falling to the floor, it sort of hung there. At least
the kids had a good laugh.

'Housewives' Star Longoria Tops Sexy Survey
(Tuesday, August 30 12:55 PM)
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Okay, so there's no Emmy nomination for Eva
Longoria's sex kitten role on "Desperate Housewives," but at least
she's been recognized for how hot she is.
The 30-year-old beauty and former Miss Corpus Christi was voted the
sexiest female TV star of all time. Yup, forget about Heather
Locklear, Farrah Fawcett or any of the other sirens in TV history.
Longoria, who only really rose to fame in the past year, apparently
trumps them all.
The petite starlet, who plays adulteress Gabrielle Solis on the hit
ABC show, received the honor courtesy of a poll conducted by British
supermarket Sainsbury's, no doubt the arbiter of sex appeal and
savings.
Despite the "all-time" claim, the actresses landing on the list
starred in shows that only hit the airwaves in the past decade or so.
At No. 2 on the list is Jennifer Aniston of "Friends" fame who made
"the Rachel" the It hairdo of the '90s.
Slinking into third place is Kim Cattrall playing the gleefully
promiscuous Samantha on HBO's "Sex and the City." Following on her
stiletto heels is Pamela Anderson who is sadly not honored for her
"Stacked" performance but for her repertoire of "Baywatch" rescues.
Rounding out the Top 5 is "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah
Michelle Gellar.
The honor confirms that Longoria's topping the Maxim magazine's Hot
100 list in May was no fluke. ABC's "Housewives" has earned 15 Emmy
nominations, including one for best comedy. Longoria's co-stars Marcia
Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman are also nominated for best
lead actress in a comedy.

I used to dislike her because of her being another rich girl famous for
being famous. (Anyone remember Jackie O.)?
Now I kinda like her. Probably for her willingness to pull up her
dress. Of course, if she does it too often it'll become just another
accidental boob flash that every female celebrity is doing when the
photographers are around. Farrah Fawcett wore that one out a long time
ago.

FAWCETT BEGS SMITH TO LOVE HER AGAIN
Actress Farrah Fawcett is eager to get on Anna Nicole Smith's good side
again, after a brief war of words.
Fawcett labeled Smith's self-titled reality show a "train wreck" in the
first episode of her new uned series, "Chasing Farrah."
The former "Charlie's Angels" star's comments proved to be highly offensive
to busty Smith, who recently stated in her weekly column for the National

wreck came 15 years ago.
"What did you do anyway, hit your nose on the train? Because it sure needs
to be straightened out.
"It's a shame you had to talk about me because I really loved you."
But Fawcett is keen to squash the battle, explaining, "This is so sad. When
they were pitching the show to me I said the shows that I did not want to
do. I wouldn't even be capable of doing one like Anna Nicole. I mean, I
think she's very brave, very gutsy. I'm not Anna Nicole, I couldn't do that.
"She got mad and wrote something very bad and then at the end she said,
'It's too bad because I really loved you.' So I feel badly. It wasn't
directed at her.
"I could've said (Donald Trump's "The Apprentice"). I didn't mean her. I
meant the show. I apologize if I hurt her feelings. Just love me again, OK?"

Fawcett Wiretapped by Notorious Private Eye
A controversial private detective has been accused of illegally wiretapping
Farrah Fawcett after forming a close relationship with the actress. It's
claimed the screen star - who's expected to unveil explosive details of her
life on upcoming reality TV show Chasing Farrah - was one of Anthony
Pellicano's victims before he was sentenced to jail on explosives charges. A
spokeswoman for the actress confirms Fawcett was once wiretapped but refuses
to reveal why the listening device was planted on her - or who was
responsible. However, policeman-turned-investigative reporter John
Connelly - who's writing a book on Pellicano - is convinced the private eye
took advantage of his relationship with Fawcett and tapped her. He tells
website The Scoop, "Anthony Pellicano had first worked on a case
investigating Farrah Fawcett and then became very friendly with her. The FBI
is currently investigating Pellicano, and I would be shocked if he isn't
indicted for charges of illegal wiretapping and now we know that Farrah was
one of his victims."

renditions.
Both Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett have had their ... well ... not quite
sane moments. Both played power trips while on the original TV series.
Farrah just decided to break her contract and quit after being on the series
only one year. At the time, the producers were so convinced they needed
Farrah; they agreed to substituting a few guest appearances for a large some
of money over trying to sue her for breach of contract. Kate Jackson started
pulling power trips like demanding to leave the set early before shooting
was finished, rejecting wardrobe, and snubbing Cheryl Ladd for no other
reason than she wasn't an original Angel. (She snubs her to this day every
time she insists only the original three are vital to any movie despite the
fact that Cheryl was actually on the series longer than both Farrah and
Kate.) They learned though from Farrah that no one is indispensable
(particularly an "Angel") and they dispensed Kate Jackson. Of the original
three, Jaclyn Smith was the only one who wasn't a trouble maker. Ok, so she
was never a great actor; but she was sane, agreeable and never pulled ego
trips. It was no surprise that she was the only one invited to do a cameo
for the movie.

DAILY NEWS LOS ANGELES BUREAU CHIEF
In her teens, feisty "Paper Moon" star Tatum O'Neal earned the nickname
"Tantrum" for being "difficult" on movie sets.
But with the release of her sizzling tell-all book, "A Paper Life," this week,
the 40-year-old O'Neal may be renamed "Tattler" for the dark Hollywood secrets
she reveals.
In her red-hot tome, O'Neal dishes on the drug-drenched, sex-crazed Hollywood
of the 1970s - in all its raunchiness.
Insiders say the daughter of one-time "Love Story" heartthrob Ryan O'Neal, now
63, will spill plenty of ugly family secrets in the sensational book, which
goes on sale Tuesday.
These include revelations about her disturbing adolescence and troubled
relationship with her father, her true feelings about Ryan O'Neal's
ex-girlfriend Farrah Fawcett, her tumultuous marriage to tennis star John
McEnroe and her battle against drug addiction.
"Terrible things happened to me," Tatum O'Neal told Oprah Winfrey in a show to
be broadcast this week.
She also reportedly will lift the lid on other Hollywood scandals - including
being molested by one of her father's pals and a wild group sex scene that
included a famous movie actress.
"A lot of people in Hollywood are scared to death about what Tatum's going to
say in this book," said a Hollywood insider. "No one really wants to see their
name in it."
In an interview set to air on NBC's "Dateline" Friday, Tatum O'Neal says of the
book: "I think it's a chance to say, 'You know, things don't just happen by
accident. One doesn't just fall off the edge of a cliff for nothing.'
"Maybe someone thinks that on the outside it looks really glamorous," she tells
interviewer Stone Phillips, "but really, it's just been a real struggle. And
I'm glad I didn't pass away and die."
In one steamy shocker in the book, Tatum O'Neal alleges that when she was 12
she joined in a sex romp in Paris with three adults - including a
now-well-known Hollywood actress, another actress and the boyfriend of one of
them, according to a sneak preview published in the National Enquirer.
When the three grownups slipped from partying with drugs to romping in the
sack, young Tatum willingly joined in - although fortunately, when the foursome
ended, she was still a virgin, the report says.
Tatum O'Neal blames her dad, whom she depicts as a selfish playboy, for another
incident during a European trip when she claims she was molested by his drug
dealer, the report says.
It began when Tatum O'Neal walked into her father's hotel room and found him in
bed with then-girlfriend actress Melanie Griffith, triggering big-time
distress, according to the report.
As a girl, Tatum O'Neal admits, she was "possessive" of her dad because her
drug-and-booze-addicted mother, actress Joanna Moore, flaked out of her life
when she was 7.
Reeling from what she saw in her dad's bed, Tatum O'Neal begged her father's
drug dealer for pills to calm her nerves, which she washed down with booze from
the hotel minibar, the report says.
She passed out, only to wake up naked in bed with the dealer fondling her, the
report says.
Not long after, Tatum O'Neal - according to the Enquirer report - says she lost
her virginity to an older movie stuntman.
Tatum O'Neal is remembered as the pixie-haired 10-year-old in the tuxedo
clutching her Best Supporting Actress statue for "Paper Moon," the 1973 hit
that co-starred her father. But in her book, she says her jealous dad smacked
her after she was nominated for the award, according to the report.
Even before the book, Tatum O'Neal had accused her dad of physically abusing
her and her younger brother, Griffin, once knocking out the boy's front teeth
with a powerful punch. And she has accused her dad in the past of being an
irresponsible parent, recounting how he took her to drug- and booze-filled
parties when she was young.
Asked during the "Dateline" interview about her relationship with him today,
she said, "I don't have one ... he should have apologized to us a long time
ago."
Talking about her own history of drug abuse, she said, "When you're treated
badly, at least in my situation, I just didn't know any better then - when
someone was hitting me, or hitting me and slapping me, or like sexually
molesting me - just - seemed normal to continue to do that to myself."
Her book also reportedly amps up her past accusations against McEnroe. "He
kicked me down the stairs," she told ABC's "20/20" two years ago, describing an
alleged beating by McEnroe.
In his own 2002 book, McEnroe denied he ever beat O'Neal but portrayed her as a
temperamental drug abuser who couldn't come to grips with her faltering acting
career. Tatum O'Neal wed the tennis champ in 1986.
They had three kids - Kevin, Sean and Emily - before splitting in 1993.
McEnroe released this statement: "I continue to be very disappointed in Tatum's
interpretation of my life and the lives of our children. I had hoped that after
all these years she would see things more accurately and that she would share
my concern for the welfare of our children." Ryan O'Neal did not return
repeated calls for comment.
Tatum O'Neal's rep, Leslie Sloane, emphasized that O'Neal does not claim in the
book that her father sexually abused her - but that he just abused her
"mentally, physically and emotionally."
Sloane said that, in her upcoming book, Tatum O'Neal writes she was molested by
several people, including her father's drug dealer friend and an acquaintance
of her mother.
