First, she looked great in the commercial. I would be hard pressed to
say she aged at all in the past ten years.
But the real issues are:
1. What makes her perceived to be an expert in interior designing?
If it were clothing or something that would be one thing, but
furniture?
2. Rooms To Go is a store that carries 'just ok' furniture. I guess
they're using her name to appeal to the masses, but I don't get it.
It reminds me of the Jaclyn Smith clothing line at K-Mart...

Tom Cruise is the most publicly outed non-out person since Richard Gere, who
was heavily researched and interviewed by my ex-wife when she was doing show
business journalism and she couldn't find any significant evidence that Gere
was gay. He had some gay employees but not as many as say Mickey Rourke,
Michael Douglass or Johnny Depp Willem Dafoe and others non of whom have
been as assailed with accusations of dishonesty about their personal lives
as Gere or Cruise or Travolta. Maybe it's religious persecution since they
all follow off the beaten path spiritual paths.Or maybe they have or had gay
desirable looks, but while the prime source on John Travolta Paul Bareno(sp)
recanted and admitted hostility to Travolta because of jealousy and
resentment because he wasn't given help in his crossover attempts and Tom
Cruise won lawsuits over accusations about him, Gere has remained a parlor
joke because of the absurd gerbil story which had about as much veracity as
the Rock Hudson-Jim neighbors marriage story which was apparently formulated
by certain Malibu gays resentful because they felt Hudson had dissed them by
not hiring more of them as extras to work on Macmillan and Wife, other than
marrying supposed bisexual (probably only because she resembled Lesbian and
nominal bisexual late seventies superstar model Gia Carrangi) Cindy
Crawford. As if a bisexual model was news. Big deal, and just how many
models aren't bisexual except the born again Christians and out right
Lesbians? The point is, from all the research I've read no one has ever
tracked down double sourced evidence of Gere's supposed sexual orientation.
You'd think that as the man moves closer to senior citizenship someone would
come forward with a reliable story, a name, something other than the
supposed other Brazilian actress inspired jealously that Gere's first wife
was a transsexual, a story long ago debunked by said actress own doctor and
medical records. Maybe Gere with Cruise had a quality certain people wished
was gay despite the facts. Heck middle American white boys being
Scientologists or a Tibetan Buddhists should be unique enough for plenty of
gossip, but I guess if it ain't sex-related no one wants to hear it anymore.
I miss the days when hearing that Barbara Streisand or Jaclyn Smith were bad
tippers was hot gossip, or that poor Margaux Hemingway's obsession with a
Santa Monica colonic clinic may have so reduced her electrolytes that her
overdose on Phenobarbital prescribed for her epilepsy was truly an accident.
A really good story to research is who was the "famous" man who while
they were on a trip to India who either deliberately overdosed Margaux on
drugs, or so beat Margaux that she developed epilepsy in the first place.
Rest in Peace Margaux,
Ambrose

Both Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett have had their ... well ... not quite
sane moments. Both played power trips while on the original TV series.
Farrah just decided to break her contract and quit after being on the series
only one year. At the time, the producers were so convinced they needed
Farrah; they agreed to substituting a few guest appearances for a large some
of money over trying to sue her for breach of contract. Kate Jackson started
pulling power trips like demanding to leave the set early before shooting
was finished, rejecting wardrobe, and snubbing Cheryl Ladd for no other
reason than she wasn't an original Angel. (She snubs her to this day every
time she insists only the original three are vital to any movie despite the
fact that Cheryl was actually on the series longer than both Farrah and
Kate.) They learned though from Farrah that no one is indispensable
(particularly an "Angel") and they dispensed Kate Jackson. Of the original
three, Jaclyn Smith was the only one who wasn't a trouble maker. Ok, so she
was never a great actor; but she was sane, agreeable and never pulled ego
trips. It was no surprise that she was the only one invited to do a cameo
for the movie.

The terrorist mission of Jesus stated in the Christian bible:
"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not so send
peace, but a sword.
"For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in
law.
"And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
